We wondered what would Sci Fi Channel do with Battlestar Galactica’s old digs and at least for the summer, Fridays at 10 p.m. will be the stomping grounds for Sheriff Jack Carter.

Starting July 10, the dramedy about a town full of geniuses and their numerous mishaps is back on what will then be known as Syfy. Taking over the old Eureka Tuesday night timeslot is new series Warehouse 13. Hopefully the move won’t hurt the audience Eureka has already established.

When last we left the town, Carter had saved it for the I don’t know - 100th time now. But he disobeyed a direct order from the government to do so, thus losing his job. I’m betting the bigwigs realize the error of their ways sooner rather than later.

The newest rumour around this great series is more than good - very soon we’ll enjoy its continuation. As for a new start we’ll see two episodes but I’m sure there are many more coming.

According to the website IMDB the long-expected new episodes will be released on July 10th, 2009 and the 1st episode we’ll see will be named “Welcome back, Carter”. It will be a continuation of the 3rd season. As you know the last episode we saw was Season 3, episode 8 - “From fear to eternity”, so the new one will be episode 9.

Also, on later date this year, we will see another episode named “Your face or mine”. If you remember Sci-Fi channel  recently reran the first half of the last third season in a big marathon. That could only lead us to think that was a kind of “reminder” of what happened in last season, in order to launch the next episodes.
